Craig Scheer is a former professional soccer player born and raised in Cape Girardeau (MO).
Craig has coached competitive youth soccer in the Bay Area for the past 13 years.
Craig also coached at the collegiate level at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA for the 5 years.
Upon completion of Craig’s high school career, he continued playing soccer at Lewis & Clark Junior College on a full scholarship, where he became an NSCAA All-American his sophomore season. Craig finished his final two collegiate seasons at the University of Illinois Springfield, also on a full scholarship.
Prior to signing a professional contract, Craig was a 3 time All American at Lewis & Clark Community College and at the University of Illinois Springfield. His successful collegiate career culminated with an invite to the prestigious Umbro Senior Bowl in Ft. Lauderdale (FL).
After college, Craig was drafted to play professionally by the Hershey Wildcats of the United Soccer A-League. After finishing 3 seasons in the A-League, Craig enjoyed a short stint in Belgium before returning to play 8 seasons in the Major Indoor Soccer League, where he won 2 World Championships with the Baltimore Blast.
Coach Scheer has been an assistant coach at Las Positas College since 2016, where the team has made the playoffs every season, and in 2017 the team went undefeated in league play and finished that year ranked 16th in the nation. He has also been involved locally at the youth level with recent coaching stints at Ballistic United in Pleasanton and at Livermore Fusion.
