Eddie Soto is a co-founder of the San Francisco Elite Academy & a Board member since 2019. Soto, the 2017 West Coast Conference Coach of the Year after leading the University of San Francisco to the 2017 WCC conference title and a second-round appearance in the NCAA tournament. He is the former Boys DOC at SFEA.

Soto was the head coach for the USF men’s soccer team from 2014 to 2018. During his time on the Hilltop, he produced 32 All-WCC selections, including a Player of the Year, and eight Academic All-WCC. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach as UCLA, helping guide the Bruins to four Pac-12 championships and eight NCAA tournament berths. He has also coached the LA Galaxy’s academy teams, the US Beach Soccer National Team, Cal State Fullerton, the women’s team at Long Beach State, and multiple developmental leagues.
As a player, Soto twice earned All-America honors at Cal State Fullerton, and he still holds the school record for goals in a single season (18). He was a selection in Major League Soccer’s inaugural draft in 1996 and in the supplemental draft in 1998. He also played professionally in the USISL and has played for the USA Pro Beach Soccer Team.
Soto and his wife, Stephanie, have three children: Fabrizio, Wyatt, and Isabela.
