San Francisco Elite Academy had three girls teams play in the Girls Academy Summer Showcase in Oceanside, Calif., an event that took place June 23-28 with all three teams showing well. Each team had players who stood out and impressed over the six-day event. This article was originally published by PrepSoccer staff writer, Matt Smith, on the PrepSoccer website. As a soccer club, things keep improving for the ever-growing and rapidly succeeding San Francisco Elite Academy. With a great first half of 2022 for SFEA, the club recently received a feather in its cap when five boys received an invitation to the US Youth National Team talent ID camp. Four of the five players play for the 2007 team, while the fifth plays on the 2008 team. “We are very proud of these boys, and we feel privileged to be chosen by their families to work with them,” 2007 boys coach Sebastian Carrasco said. “They are not only good players, but they are also very educated, humble, and competitive guys, which makes them even better athletes. They are all very coachable and always willing to work, improve and give their all for the team.” |
